She was predeceased by: her parents, Eloise Burney Daniel and John Hannah Daniel; her husband Joseph Creighton Riepe, Jr.; her children, Eleanor Riepe Anders Workman and Joseph Creighton Riepe, III (Sandy); and her former husband Warren Tresham Kalbacker.
She is survived by: her daughter Jacquelyn Riepe Hill (Hunter); her grandchildren, Allison Daniel Anders, John Creighton Anders (Alison), Stephen Hunter Hill (Corrine), Kathryn Hill Flowers (Steve) and Joseph Creighton Riepe, IV (Sarah); her great grandchildren, Emma, George Anders, Andy Hill, Gracie Flowers and John Aidan Anders; her sons, Warren Kalbacker (Helaine) and David Kalbacker (Marion); her grandchildren, Courtney Kalbacker (Jeff), Leigh Kalbacker (Brian) and William Kalbacker (Meredith); and also, Joanna and Oliver.
Like her father, Florence was deeply committed to Southside VA Community College, ably serving on the SVCC Foundation Board of Directors and later being named Director Emeritus of the Foundation Board.
