She was predeceased by: her former husband Edwin Hawkins; and her husband Averette D. Amos. She is survived by: her children, Jerry Amos (Pam), Joe Amos (Sandy), Dave Hawkins (Janice), Betty Fowler, Roy Hawkins and Paul Hawkins (Wendy); and her brothers, Ray Scott (Pam) and Donnie Scott (Bonnie). She is also survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
