He was predeceased by: his daughter Diane; and his parents, Thomas Bennie Tisdale and Garnette Tinder Tisdale. He is survived by: his daughters, Susan Maynard of Waverly and Kara Romano (John) of Glen Allen, Virginia; his siblings, Robert Tisdale of Laurinburg and Barbara Hawse of Orange, Virginia.; his grandchildren, Laura Maynard Sullivan (William), Samantha Romano, Maria Romano, Allison Romano, Emily Romano, Taylor Romano and Benjamin Romano; and his great grandchildren, Reed and Ruby Sullivan.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Crossroads Community Church (385 Poindexter Road, Louisa, Virginia 23093) of which Tom was a founding member.
