He was predeceased by: his parents, Mack Poindexter, Sr. and Inez Scott Poindexter of Kents Store, Virginia.; and his brother Clifton Poindexter. He is survived by: his wife Edna Poindexter; his children, Stephanie Poindexter of Keswick, VA, Curtis Poindexter, Jr. of Keswick, VA and Kevin Poindexter (Sherri) of Esmont, VA; his grandchildren, Kai Poindexter of Esmont, VA and Malik Poindexter of Charlottesville, VA; and his siblings, Mack Poindexter (Ramona) of Trevillians, Virgie Shelton of Goochland Virginia, Della "Maxine" Griffin (Leonard) of Petersburg, VA, Priscilla and Lucille Randolph (Lawrence) of Charlottesville, VA. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The eulogy will be delivered by Rev. Leonard Morton, Sr. Due to the pandemic, a private service will be held for only immediate family members who feel safe coming out to attend the memorial service.
