He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Hopson and Julia Hopson; and his son Kelven Hopson. He is survived by: his wife Mollie M. Hopson; his children, Bridget Hopson, Pierre Hopson, Sharon, Debbie, Iris, Diane, Eric, Johnathan, Kathy and Lisa; and his sister Bessie Lee. He is also survived by twenty-six grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren and four great–great grandchildren.
