He is survived by: his wife Violet; his children, Emma Alston (William) of Brooklyn, NY, Robert Hazelwood, Jr. of Brooklyn, NY and Sandra Hazelwood of Brooklyn, NY; his grandson James Hazelwood; his sisters, Jenny Hazelwood (Louis) of Kenbridge, VA and Thelma Gibbs of Bronx, NY; his siblings-in-law, Clyde Glasgow of Victoria, VA, Willie Smith of Richmond, VA, Charles Smith (Loretta) of Baltimore, MD, Wayne Smith of Richmond, VA, Clarence Alexander, Sr. of Baltimore, MD., Pearl West (Robert) of Petersburg, VA, Carey (Isaac) of Concord, NC, Elaine Johnson (Louis) of North Chesterfield, VA, Shirley Dixon of Plant City, FL and Madeline Jones (George) of Richmond, VA; his grandchild Precious Hamilton; his goddaughter Lashana Graves; and his nieces, Lena Hargrove and Diane Pettus.
