He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Fredrick Washburn and Lynda Black Washburn. He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Pat" Snead Washburn; his siblings, Margaret Allison (Richard), Carol Frazeur (Dean), Tom Washburn (Janet) and Mike Washburn (late Rhonda); his brother-in-law Bill Gary (late Eula); and his nieces and nephews, Larkin Allison (Amy), Thomas Wesley Washburn (Lauren), Andrew Washburn Steve (Keyri), Riley Allison and Susan Kreis (Tim). He is also survived by numerous great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins.

A funeral service was held on Sunday, December 15th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the Kenbridge Christian Church (123 Church St, Kenbridge, VA 23944).
