He was predeceased by: his parents, Hermon Jefferson and Jeanette Jefferson; his wife Edna Boswell; his son James Stanley; and his siblings, Clarence, Willie, Irene Ingram and Beatrice Hazelwood.
He is survived by: his children, Patricia, Howard (Helen), Harvey (Marquette) and Mary; his daughter-in-law Connie; his sister Minister Mildred Bowling; and his sisters-in-law, Cathleen Jefferson and Joyce Ali. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
