He was predeceased by: his parents, Hubert Arthur and Eunice Arthur; and his brothers, Hubert Franklin Arthur and Charles Edward Arthur. He is survived by: his wife Cynthia Mattox Arthur; his children, James H. "Jamie" Arthur, Jr. (Susan) of Blackstone and Emily A. Williamson (Rolin); his grandson Judah Williamson of Wilmington, NC; and his brother Phil Arthur of Amelia.
Visitation was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Clarke Funeral Home (110 E 5th Ave, Kenbridge, VA 23944). A funeral service was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Thursday, March 6th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Gretna Buial Park.
