She was predeceased by: her parents, James R. Freeman and Florence Lambert Freeman; her siblings, Joan Mickens and Donald Freeman; and her grandson Vernon Lee Scott, III.
She is survived by: her daughters, Sharetta (Vernon) of Chesapeake, Monique and Jacqueline; and her grandchildren, Maliqua (Nigel) of Virginia Beach, Virginia., Hasan, De'Zhawn, Shawn Jr., Jaylen, Destiny, Erion, Amiyah, Donte Jr., Jayden, Amani, Jaekwan, Kahlil, Dominic, Umnaiyah, Kaylee, Nyla, Kayla, Aaliyah and Alyshia. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
