He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Jackson Toone and Bernice Bowling Toone; his siblings, Roseanne Toone and Jack Toone, Jr.; his stepson Thomas Bagley; his wife Crystal B. Toone of Victoria, Virginia; his stepchildren, Bobbie, Otis Bagley (Shirley) of Kenbridge and Ron Bagley of Victoria, Virginia; his grandchildren, James Bagley, Karima, Jeremy Fletcher, Atallah and R'Mani Bagley; his great grandchildren, Bryce Fowlkes, Idris and Jaime Flecther; and his siblings, Joanne Toone Rogers of Roanoke, Virginia, Joyce Marie Toone of Mount Vernon, Amy Elizabeth Toone-Bacon of Richmond, Virginia, Wallace Bowling of Stanton Island and Raymond C. Toone of South Boston. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins and friends.
