He was predeceased by: his wife Sylvia McDonald Mahaney; and his parents, Arthur Randolph Mahaney and Dorothy Bridgforth Mahaney. He is survived by: his daughters, Margaret O. Mahaney and Ann Randolph Mahaney Busbee (Andrew); his grandsons, David and James; and his siblings, Sallie Ann Buchanan and John B. "Johnny" Mahaney.
