He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmund Clarence Tyson and Elizabeth Lobenstein Tyson; and his siblings, Doris Allen, Juanita Hazlett and Robert Tyson.
He is survived by: his wife Bernadette Rita Tyson; his children, Theresa E. Tyson of Virginia Beach, VA, Edward Tyson (Theresa), Philip Tyson (Eileen) of Florida and Steven Tyson (Brenda) of Craddockville, VA; his sister Margaret Tyndall of Stanfield, NC; his sister-in-law Joyce Tyson; his grandchildren, Matthew (Mary), William (Abigail), Holly, Philip (Naisha), Raymond, Colbourne, Connor, Nicholas Tyson and Kyle Fitchett; and his great grandchildren, Jaela, Oliver, Joanna, Isaac, Levi, Owen and Aiden Tyson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
