With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dora Zember Bell in Keller, Virginia, born in Nassawadox, Virginia, who passed away on August 5, 2023 at the age of 91. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, George Willis Saunders and Emma Lewis Saunders; her husband Johnie Earl Zember; her former husband Robert Lee Bell; and her siblings, Tommy Saunders, Julia Belle Smith, Mary Williams and Georgie Mae Stevens.

She is survived by: her children, Bonnie Zember Nordstrom (Ray) of Pocomoke City, MD, Wanda Zember Custis (Paul) of Nandua, VA, Darlene Zember of Davis Wharf, VA and Johnie E. Zember, Jr. of Norfolk, VA.; and her grandchildren, Joshua Nordstrom of Pocomoke City, Sarah Nordstrom Gray (Andrew) of Walnut Creek, CA, Martha Nordstrom of Pocomoke City, Tisha Custis Henderson (Jim) of Stafford, VA, Ryan Custis (Kathy) of Nandua, Erica Custis (Berkley) of Wilmington, NC, Jonnie E. Zember III of Virginia Beach, VA and Tyler Zember of Virginia Beach. She is also survived by Her extended family includes eight great grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, and other Shore relatives.
