It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Kenneth Higgs of Keezletown, Virginia, who passed away on August 29, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Pete Zirkle Higgs and Helen Phillips; and his sister Ann Smith. He is survived by: his spouse Faynetta Higgs (Higgins); his children, Richard Higgs (Lindy), Chad Higgs (Michelle), Rhonda Mongold (Rick) and Lori Hitt (Brian); his siblings, Dale Phillips, Betty Foley and Kitty Poteat; his grandchildren, Lauren Coceano, Justin Hitt, Dillon Mongold, April Higgs and Amber Higgs; and his great grandchildren, Zander, Kesslyn, William and Hudson.
