It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Doris R. Showalter (Keezletown, Virginia), born in Portsmouth, Virginia, who passed away on February 12, 2020, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Roy; her sister Carol R. Hadnot; and her spouse W. Raymond "Buddy" Showalter. She is survived by: her children, Mindy Deviers (Rick), David Showalter (Kim) and Esther Bowman Beattie; her grandchildren, Wesley Deviers (Regan), Morgan Shirkey (Benjamin), Coleman Showalter (Chelsea), Drew Bowman (Savannah) and Chad Bowman (Rebecca); and her great grandchildren, Alora, Caden, Miles Shirkey, Jackson, Adelynn, Charlotte, Daniel Bowman and Rylan Bowman.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Dolly Showalter Capital Fund at Spotswood Country Club, 1980 Country Club Road, Harrisonburg, VA 22802.
