With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Dorothy Marie Thompson Bowman of Keen Mountain, Virginia, born in Buchanan, Virginia, who passed away on March 5, 2025 at the age of 80. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest John Thompson and Pearl Elsie Boyd Thompson of Buchanan County; her siblings, Anna Ruth Deel, Jean Blankenship and George Lawrence Thompson; and her son-in-law Larry Reynolds.
She is survived by: her husband Luther Dayton Bowman; her children, Phyllis Reynolds of Keen Mountain, VA, Elizabeth Bowman (Annette) of Lebanon, VA, Shellie Rowe (Willis) of Honaker, VA and Leslie Bowman (Lovace) of Roanoke, VA; and her siblings, Nell Fern Hicks, Sharon Ratliff and Blaine Thompson (Mary). She is also survived by nine grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, friends.
