She was predeceased by: her parents, Ella Ingram Shively and Grover Milton Shivley; her husband Bernard Wayne Crider; and her siblings, Alease Breer, Evonne Webb, Elvin Shively of Grover Shivley, J. D and Richard Shivley.
She is survived by: her children, Tammy Thurman of Keeling, Virginia, David Smith (Lisa) of Danville and Brian Smith (April) of Reidsville; and her siblings, Linda Chilton, Verlena Rigsby and James Shively. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Floral Hills Memory Gardens (1665 South Boston Rd, Danville, VA 24586). A graveside service was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
