It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wilma Jean Ramey of Jonesville, Virginia, born in Saint Charles, Virginia, who passed away on December 12, 2023, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her husband James L. Ramey; her parents, William Stapleton (Bill) and Joyce Stapleton (Belcher); and her siblings, James Stapleton, Dr. Earl Stapleton, Donald Stapleton, Dennis Stapleton, Lillian Stapleton, Betty Garrett, Irene Smiddy and Billie Skidmore.
She is survived by: her sons, Mark Ramey (Rebekah) and David Ramey of Jonesville Virginia; her sister Gloria Nelson (Kenneth) of Belvidere Illinois; and her sisters-in-law, Beatrice Stapleton and Erma Jean Martin (Ramey). She is also survived by ten nephews and 12 nieces as well as several great and great great nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the local rescue squad or fire department.
