It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William David McAlister of Jonesville, Virginia, who passed away on March 4, 2023, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Lue McCann McAlister; his parents, Bill McAlister and Nannie Childs McAlister; his sons, Billy Joe McAlister, Randy Lee McAlister and Jesse Allen McAlister; and his siblings, Vergie Webb, Theda Stapleton, Cleo Newton, Bill McAlister, Bob McAlister and Johnny McAlister.
He is survived by: his children, Mary Jones (Danny), Evelyn Lawson, Jessie Mullins (Charlie), DJ McAlister and Christopher Lawson (Rebecca); and his daughter-in-law Leslie McAlister. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
