It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ross Patton Fortner of Jonesville, Virginia, who passed away on February 24, 2023, at the age of 77, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Estle Fortner and Bertha Carter Fortner; his brothers, Jesse Fortner and Bobby Joe Fortner; and his sister-in-law Gail Fortner.
He is survived by: his wife Pat Wright Fortner; his children, John Fortner (Heather) and Erin Garrett (Chris); his grandchildren, Adam Garrett, Ivy Grace Garrett, Kailey Fortner and Joshua Fortner; his siblings, Margaret Clouse (Maurice), Louise Pendleton, Charles "Cotton" Fortner and Jack Fortner (Janie); and his pet Kippie. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
