It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Rita L. Spivey of Jonesville, Virginia, who passed away on February 28, 2025, at the age of 64, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Darwin Gilbert and Dessie McKinney Gilbert; her grandmother Minnie McKinney; and her nephew Cody Lawson. She is survived by: her children, David Spivey (Myranda), Alisha Spivey and Terina Spivey (David Hester); her siblings, Sue Lawson (David), Doris Shanahan (David) and Manford Gilbert (Audrey); her grandchildren, Aidyn, Gunner, Karlee, Jaycee, Kimber, Daniel, Tiffany, Katie, LuShanna and Savannah; her uncle Carl (Georgia Shell); her niece Nikki McPherson (Caleb); and her pet Weegee.
Visitation was held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Robinette Funeral Home (146 Maple Dr, Jonesville, VA 24263). A funeral service was held on Monday, March 3rd 2025 at 7:00 PM at the same location.
