He is survived by: his children, Charlie Short (Pamela) of Middlesboro, KY, Jason Short of Maryland, Kathy Rouse (Steven) of Tazewell, TN and Bobbie Collins (Chris) of Rose Hill, VA; his grandchildren, Maranda Miles, Autumn Collins, Chasity Rouse, Autumn Short and Hunter Short; his great grandchild Aubrey; and his siblings, Thomas "Buddy" Short of Pennington Gap, VA, William "Doc" Short (Barb) of Rose Hill, VA and Oneta "Sissy" Bollinger (George) of Versailles, KY..
