He was predeceased by: his former wife Betty Doris Turner Hammonds; his parents, Marrison Hammonds and Roberta Hammonds (Bertie); and his grandparents, J. C., Maxie Hinkle, Willie and Linda Hammonds.
He is survived by: his wife Donella Hammonds of Jonesville; his sister Teresa Smith of Ocoonita; his stepchildren, Shawn Lawson (Crystal) of Duffield and Kellie Powers (Chris) of Weber City; his stepgrandchildren, Haley, Austin, Sophie, Leland and Ethan; and his stepgreat-grandchildren, Anthony, Rileymae and Regan.
