He was predeceased by: his parents, Mitchell Hurst and Leona Hurst; his wife Joyce Hurst; and his sister Mary Elizabeth Pittman. He is survived by: his daughters, Jolanda Ledford (Donnie) of Jonesville and Jada Pridemore (Wayne) of Gray, Tennessee; his grandchildren, Joshua Ledford, Emily Ledford and Joy Pridemore; and his siblings, Ray Hurst (Frances) of Rose Hill, David Hurst (Kim) of Rose Hill and Virginia Green of Rose Hill.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent in his honor to the Cedar Hill Cemetery, c/o Charlie Gibbons, 272 Henry Gibbons Rd, Joneville, VA 24263.
