He was predeceased by: his parent Barlow Sr. Newman; his brothers, Robert Newman and Charlie Bill Newman; and his nieces, Stephanie Newman and Rebecca Newman.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Newman; his children, Jessica France (Seth) of Wise, VA and Charlie Newman of Jonesville, VA; his grandchildren, Jaxon Newman and Molly France; his siblings, David Newman (Dianne) of Richmond, VA, Barlow Newman, Jr. (Nell) of Jonesville, VA, Jeff Newman (Linda) of Jonesville, VA, Nancy Corbin (Hershel) of Simpsonville, SC, Mary Helen McDaniel (Buck) of Jacksonville, FL, Barbara Hines (Harold) of Jonesville, VA and Carolyn Gilley (Jack) of Bluff City, TN; and his close friend Greg Gilley. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
