It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Burchett of Jonesville, Virginia, born in Mulberry, Tennessee, who passed away on October 13, 2022, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her father Charles Estes; her husband Hiram Burchett; her sons, Hiram "Junior" Burchett and Wayne Burchett; her granddaughters, Kara and Rena Burchett; her daughter Nanette Ricker; her sons-in-law, J. D. Ricker and Paul Moberg; and her siblings, George Estes, Robert Estes, Grace Long and Jessie Crumley.

She is survived by: her children, R. L. Burchett (Joy) of Tazewell, TN, Kaye Moberg of Hampton, VA, David Burchett (Patsy) of Jonesville, VA, Dr. Bonnie Burchett of Johnson City, TN, Joyce Burchett of Charlotte, NC, Debbie Burchett of Jonesville, VA and Dianne Lyons (Keith) of Greensboro, GA; her granddaughters, Dr. Shali Scott (Frank) of Nashville, TN, Marisa Anders of Tazewell, TN, Melissa Johnson (Michael) of Bulls Gap, TN, Theresa Hammons (Michael) of Jonesborough, TN and Kim Dohm (Alyssa Lyons) of Grainfield, KS; and her great grandchildren, Garrett of Nashville, TN, James of Nashville, TN, Ray Scott of Nashville, TN, Todd Anders of Tazewell, TN, MeKenna Johnson of Knoxville, TN, Hannah Johnson of Cookeville, TN, Ian Johnson of Cookeville, TN, Logan Hammons of Jonesborough, TN, Abigail Cheney of Grainfield, KS., Emily Dohm of Grainfield, KS., Kaleb Dohm of Grainfield, KS. and Jadan Dohm of Grainfield, KS..
