He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence Jackson Holcomb and Goldie Lillian Withrow Holcomb. He is survived by: his wife Carol Hurley Holcomb; his children, Walter Edward Holcomb, Jr. (Misty), Heather Barnett (Sam) and Christopher Holcomb; and his grandchildren, Kirsten Holcomb, Walter "Trey" Holcomb, III, Madison Barnett and Paytlyn Barnett. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sinking Spring Presbyterian Church Blessing Box or Breaking Bread ministries, 136 East Main Street, Abingdon, VA 24210, in Mr. Holcomb's name.
