He was predeceased by: his parents, John Custer and Mae Smart Custer. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Landrum Custer; his children, Donna Riley (Chris) of Clarksville, VA and Dale Custer (Doris Custer) of Richmond, VA; his stepchildren, Kim Burton of Danville, VA, David Burton of Danville, VA and Heather Blackwood (Tim); and his sister Ann Custer of Roanoke, VA.. He is also survived by three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren.
