She was predeceased by: her parents, Willie Coleman Rowland and Lois Irby Rowland; her husband William Roger Yates, Sr.; her brother Lonnie Rowland; and her half-siblings, Annie Jones, Willie Rowland, Jr., Paul Rowland, Harvey Rowland, Thomas Rowland and Jim Rowland.
She is survived by: her son William "Billy" Yates, Jr. of Danville; and her brother Bennie Mitchell of Danville. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
