It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cleo Barley Glass of Java, Virginia, who passed away on March 14, 2025, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Abram Barley and Louvenia Grasty Barley; her husband William M. Glass; her children, Elvis Glass, Loretta Glass, Doretha Glass Miller and Vanessa M. Glass; and her grandson Wesley White.
She is survived by: her children, Jimmy L. Glass of Java, Timmy W. Glass of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Mary G. Stone of Java Virginia and Stacia M. Glass; her sister Geneva B. Robertson of Java, Virginia; her son-in-law Glen T. Miller of Chatham, Virginia; and her close friend Adrian Juan Reyes of Java, Virginia. She is also survived by ten grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; three great- great children.
Viewing will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Riceville Missionary Baptist Church (1444 Riceville Rd, Java, VA 24565). A funeral service will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Friday, March 21st 2025 at the Riceville Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery (1444 Riceville Rd, Java, VA 24565).
