With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Clara A. Dixon of Java, Virginia, who passed away on September 28, 2023 at the age of 90. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Abner Glass and Susie Miller Glass; her husband Junious Dixon; her sisters, Louise Glass and Ruby Jackson; and her close friend Helen Petty.
She is survived by: her daughters, Doris Dixon (Ibrahim) of Charlotte and Dorothy Williams (late Melvin Williams) of Java, Virginia; her grandsons, Justin Williams (Hannah) of Honolulu, Patrick Williams of Tempe and Ismael Abdallah of New York; her great grandchild Mara; her sisters, Barbara Robertson of Java, Dorothy Foreman of Danville, Willie Sue Dance of Paterson and Forestine Jones of Halifax, Virginia; her sisters-in-law, Clara Crawford of Claymont, Dorothy Alston of Chester and Lillian Dixon of Petersburg, Virginia; her godchildren, Derwin Logan, FreAnda Glass, Kenneth Petty, Tori Logan and Amy Coles; and her close friend Elder Clara Logan. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
