He was predeceased by: his mother Louise Walker; and his siblings, Roosevelt Walker, Eugene Walker, Willie Walker, Hilton Walker, Louis Walker, Rosa Ferrell and Edna Walker.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Vaden Walker; his sons, Alonzo "Deon" Walker of Java, VA and Torrance "Torry" Womack (Keyonia) of Columbia, SC; his stepdaughter Michelle Vaden of Danville, VA; and his siblings, Juanita Medley (Bennie) of Java, VA, Loretta Murray (Wayne) of Danville, VA and Sylvester Baker of Java, VA. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren.
