She was predeceased by: her siblings, Wilbur Poole, Sr. and Lucille Gill. She is survived by: her son Emerson Poarch, Jr. (Rose); her grandchildren, Michael Stuart Poarch (Valerie), Dixie Banton Adamson (David), Debra Banton Edell (Dean) and James Lee Banton (Elizabeth "Betsy" Banton); and her sister Barbara Burnette. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson.
