We bid farewell to Melvin Harrell of Jarratt, Virginia, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on June 26, 2024 at the age of 79. Melvin touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Herman Harrell and Evelyn Smith Harrell; his grandson Cody Lewis Stallard; his wife Kathy P. Harrell; his children, Tracey H. Stallard (Kenneth) and Todd Harrell (Amy); his stepdaughter Melissa Moore; his grandchildren, Kelly S. Savage (Brandon), Brandon Harrell, Carson Harrell and Ethan Harrell; his stepgranddaughters, Kristin Mattox (Jordan) and Cassie Robertson; his stepgreat-granddaughter Kinley Mattox; and his sister-in-law Jean Tucker (Dennis). He was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Sunday, June 30th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Owen Funeral Home (303 S Halifax Rd, Jarratt, VA 23867). A funeral service was held on Sunday, June 30th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
