She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Owen Simmons and Mary Alice Kitchen; her husbands, Harvey M. Joyner, Sr. and Troy T. Bass; and her siblings, Thomas Owen Simmons, Jr., Alfred Lee Simmons, Bobby Bell Simmons, Alice Mae Simmons Pope and Joyce Isabella Simmons Comer.
She is survived by: her sons, Harvey M. Joyner, Jr. (Karen), John William Joyner (Fran) and Calvin Lee Joyner (Eleanor); her grandchildren, Joshua Joyner, Kyle Joyner, Carmen Singleton, Sarah Ingram, Amanda Schnepp and Kendra Joyner Miller; her great grandchildren, Trevon Williams, Jaiden Singleton, Roslyn Ingram, Olivia Ingram and Elizabeth Joyner Miller; and her sister Louise Simmons Tomlinson. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
