It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janice Massenburg (Jarratt, Virginia), who passed away on February 8, 2025, at the age of 73, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Gertrude J. Moore and Joesph E. Moore. She is survived by: her children, Katesha Moore-Fields of Jarratt, VA, Kenneth Massenburg of Varina, VA, Donitha Moore-Forbes of Hopewell, VA and Jessica Moore-Norman of Petersburg, VA; her grandchildren, Montrel Moore of Chesterfield, VA., Jamal Moore, Eric Fields Jr. (EJ), Tiericka Fields, Shakira Massenburg and Kenneth Massenburg Jr. (KJ); and her great grandchildren, Gabriel Fields, De'Andre Jones, Jr., Ke'Ari Jones and Kyrie Fields.
Viewing was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Public Viewing R. E. Pearson & Son Funeral Service, Inc. - Emporia (556 Halifax St, Emporia, VA 23847). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Hassidiah Baptist Church (23358 Hassidiah Church Rd, Jarratt, VA 23867). A burial was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at the Hassidiah Baptist Church Cemetery (23358 Hassidiah Church Rd, Jarratt, VA 23867).
