He was predeceased by: his parents, James Lewis Gillam and Mabel Lewis Gillam; and his brother David Gillam. He is survived by: his wife Connie Winfield Gillam; his children, Carol Gillam Glanville (Peter) and Steven Wayne Gillam (Lisa); his grandchildren, Nikolas and Addison Gillam; and his siblings, Dianne Gillam, Judy Matthews, Martha Gillam and Curtis Gillam.

In lieu of flowers, donations in honor of Mr. Gillam can be made to Bon Secours Richmond Health Care Foundation, 5008 Monument Ave., 2nd Floor, Richmond, VA 23230.
