He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo Vanvelzor and Helen Carlisle Vanvelzor. He is survived by: his wife Susan Lucey Vanvelzor; and his children, Angela Vanvelzor Whitehead (Terry) of Newark, John Price (Tiffany) of Oak Hall, VA and Amanda Vanvelzor of Loganville, GA. He is also survived by five grandchildren.
