He was predeceased by: his parents, James Johns and Maxine Keesee Johns; and his brother Jerry L. Johns. He is survived by: his wife Virginia Teano Johns; his children, Harold Dean Johns, Jr. (Tracey) of Irmo, SC, Sandra D. Johns Stewart (Jamie) of Dagsboro, DE and Vicki L. Kesler of Jamesville; and his brother James "Hardy" Johns (Nancy) of Forest Hill, MD. He is also survived by one granddaughter; and three great grandchildren.
