With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Roger Newby of Ivor, Virginia, born in Surry, Virginia, who passed away on January 6, 2022 at the age of 73. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Newby and Elizabeth Newby. He is survived by: his wife Dorene Newby; his children, Roger Newby Jr. of Waverly, Quatrell Newby of Ivor and Catres Hobbs of Temple, Georgia; his grandchildren, Tykiera Newby, Dezarae Newby and Aleysha Newby; his siblings, Gerald Newby Jr. of Smithfield, Columbus Newby of Ivor, Jackie Newby Sr. of Zuni, Jerome Newby of Newport News, VA. and Barbara J. Newby; and his siblings-in-law, Shelly Crocker of Smithfield, VA., Douglas Crocker of Williamsburg, VA., Martha Ann Holloway, Annette Reid of Hampton, VA. and Thomas L Crocker of Ivor, VA.. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and relatives.
