She was predeceased by: her parents, Waverly Hinton Owney, Sr. and Gracie Lee Carr Owney; her husband Dempsie Ray Britt, Sr.; and her son Robert Glenn Britt. She is survived by: her children, Dempsie Ray Britt, Jr. of Ivor, Roland Nelson Britt (Jennifer) of Ivor and Deborah B. Banty (James) of Stony Creek; her grandchildren, Savannah G. Britt (Shay Wood), Taylor R. Britt (Brittany Cobb), Charles D. Britt, Zachary J. Banty and Ryan N. Britt; and her siblings, Glenda O. McLeod (Dave), Waverly H. Owney, Jr. (Sybil), John R. Owney (Pam) and Duncan E. Owney (Kelly). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorial donations be made to Ivor Rescue Squad.
