She was predeceased by: her parents, Emma Mayo and Thurman Mayo; her husband Carl E. Smith; and her sister Deborah M. Crocker. She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth Smith of Clarksburg, WV and Elijah Smith of Emporia, VA; her grandchildren, Emma, Ethan and Elyssa; her brother Thurman "Al" Mayo of Smithfield, VA; her brother-in-law Curtis Crocker (Gina) of Ivor, VA; and her nephews, David Crocker and Daniel Crocker.
