He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Dye and Kathern Elizabeth Akers Dye; and his brother Steve Dye. He is survived by: his wife Susan Dye of Ivanhoe, Virginia; his sons, Lee (Pam Dye) and Zane (Tiffany Dye); his siblings, Sue (Tom Watson), Kathy Faucett of Sheriden, Indiana, Debbie Dye of Galax, Virginia, Bob Dye, Wavern (Ella Jane Dye) and Jerry Dye of Las Vegas, Nevada; and his close friends, Stan Pauly, Tom Archer, Paul Dutton and Alex Spruill. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
