He was predeceased by: his parents, Loyd Sayers and Eunice Sayers. He is survived by: his wife Patty Sayers (Burchett); his daughter Lori; his son-in-law Shane Hart; his son Bryan; his daughter-in-law Barbie Sayers; his grandchildren, Lane Hart, Jonah Hart, Treva Sayers and Caitie Sayers; and his siblings, June Alley, Joanne (Larry Dunford), Linda (Gene Dunford), Karen Dalton, David Sayers and Garland (Regina Sayers). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to "God"s Pit Crew" in care of Mike Dowdy or Randy Johnson. Reese Funeral Home, Austinville, VA is serving the Sayers family.
