He was predeceased by: his parents, Gwyn O. Hayes and Cleo Kilby Hayes; and his sister Willa Gray Rhoades. He is survived by: his children, Geoff Hayes (Vicky) of Fleetwood and Jennifer Daughtry (Eric) of Willow Springs, NC.; his granddaughters, Katie and Allie Daughtry; his close friend Molly Bartosh of Ft. Chiswell; and his caregiver Kayla of Kate.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the donor's favorite military charity organization.
