He was predeceased by: his parent Thomas W., Jr.; and his children, Jerry, Perry, Adline Matthews and Patricia Stoffel.

He is survived by: his parent Etta Cabe Buchanan; his wife Alyne C. Buchanan; and his son Clinton Buchanan. He is also survived by 18 grandchildren, and numerous great grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, and a host of extended family and friends.
