It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Harold Ray of Irvington, Virginia, who passed away on August 3, 2023, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Ray and Ruth Ray; and his sons-in-law, Michael Garcia and Chic Silver. He is survived by: his wife Jewel Ray; his daughters, Lynne Robinson (Randy) of Chesapeake, Betsy Cobb (West) of Richmond, Phyllis Garcia of Martinsburg, WV and Susan Silver of Urbanna; his grandchildren, Will Robinson (Hilary) of Richmond, Sarah Sawyer (Brad) of Suffolk and Westray Cobb of Goochland; and his great grandchildren, Boyd Robinson, Claire Robinson, Kyle Sawyer and Luke Sawyer.
