He was predeceased by: his parents, Ruby Lee and William Forest Hice. He is survived by: his wife Susan Hines Hice; his daughter Elizabeth "Liz" Budd (Ricky) of Strasburg, VA; and his grandchildren, Jeremy Budd (Melissa), Travis Budd, Brandon Budd (Tasha May) and Elizabeth Scott (Jon). He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
