He was predeceased by: his stepmother Helen Nicely Adkins. He is survived by: his son Dakota W. Adkins; his siblings, Charles (Jeannette Adkins) of Shacklefords, VA and Jan (John Franks) of Easley, SC; his aunt Lelia 'Sissy'; and his close friends, Trey and Doreen Hurley. He is also survived by 5 nieces and nephews, 4 great-nieces and nephews.
